Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF)

Since SCCF's beginnings as a land trust more than 50 years ago, our mission-driven work has expanded to embrace protecting wildlife, restoring native habitats, monitoring water quality, educating our community, and advocating for our ecosystems.

Please visit us at our Bailey Homestead Preserve, which features our Native Landscapes & Garden Center, the Shipley Trail, and the historic Bailey Homestead. 

We also encourage visitors to join residents by signing up to volunteer in our immersive opportunities! Through our Coastal Watch Voluntourism program, you can help offset the impacts of recent hurricanes by cleaning up our beaches and preserves, helping to restore our mangroves and oyster reefs, and by taking part in native plantings to improve resilience and restore wildlife habitat. 

Please be sure to explore our island's diverse habitats by hiking more than 8 miles of trails in SCCF preserves across Sanibel Island. (Some are closed due to hurricanes, please check website.)
